Personal politics aside, I was watching a recent episode of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” and he said something to close his show that I really liked.
To paraphrase, he said, “Newspapers are important. More so than the new app, Paper, which Mark Zuckerberg called important, because they provide news based on subjects you’ve previously searched for. A physical newspaper is telling you what real news is, not just what's news to you, and that’s important. You may not read every article, but you’ll see headlines and that’s going to make you smarter than reading about whatever fashion or celebrity trend you’re into.”
You could say this is just another Baby Boomer frustrated with the Millennials … but this Millennial agrees with the Baby Boomer.
